Talking to a girl... but not really?

(18M) (18F) I started messaging a girl not too long ago, and we've hit it off pretty well. She seems to like me and seems to be reciprocating interest, so I'm not really worried or concerned about her losing that. However, I feel like we're kinda at this awkward stage where she doesn't know what to do, and I don't really know what to do either (lol). It's getting a little frustrating hitting this roadblock since I am positive we are compatible enough to try out a relationship and that we would be a good match. We have similar interests, personalities, and interest. Another thing worth mentioning is her anxiety and how it can control her at times.

We tried planning a date not too long ago and it got canceled cause she wasn't having a good day and didn't want it to rub off on me (considerate decision I'd say). We tried rescheduling a few times but plans always fall through. I don't know what I can or should do to progress our relationship. Also, when we talk it's only through snapchat and it is extremely disconnected. We only send about 4 messages a day and they're mostly meaningless. I want to talk to her more, but I also don't know how to tell her that without sounding needy, demanding, or controlling. I know I'm overthinking when I say that, but it comes from my inability to understand her or what her feelings toward me are. She's a really sweet girl that I care about alot, but I would like to hear some thoughts on what it sounds like is happening. Is she nervous? Is she lazy? Does she actually like me?

Any insight to this interaction would be helpful, Thanks!!
