As a home cook how do i get to a point where i can create the kinds of dishes you see on /r/culinaryplating ?

I'm exclusively a home cook & iv never cooked professionally or had any sort of 'training'.

For a home cook though, i think i'm pretty 'intense' in that i cook a lot, i spend borderline obnoxious amounts of time in the kitchen, il cook pretty much everything & anything. So its definitely more a hobby then just feeding myself.

That said i browse through things like r/culinaryplating sometimes & i still have no idea how one comes up with the sorts of dishes you see people post there.

I can create each component of the dish and now that iv seen the dish i could go about doing it myself, but i would never think to put those specific things together, in that specific manner.

To be clear i'm asking more about the process of creating a dish & less the actual plating, design of it.

Are there resources for this kind of thing? Books, youtube? I understand a lot of it is practice & experience, but i don't even know where your supposed to start.
