[NeedAdvice] I love learning new things, but I never apply them, and lose interest once I know the basics. How do I apply what I learn and finish the projects I start?
Hey everyone.
I'm sure that this kind of question has been asked before, but I'd like to discuss it again.
I'm a guy that is constantly researching and learning about new things. I have countless ideas for projects to do, and things to learn, but I never end up finishing them. I get through the learning phase, and once I think I understand enough to do it, my subconscious gets content, I lose interest, and move on to something new. So now I find myself with half-assed knowledge of a bunch of things, but nothing to show that demonstrates that I actually learnt the things. I feel like I am content on the "peak of mount stupid" and once thing start to get hard I give up and move on.
This might satisfy my subconcious mind, and release a bunch of dopamine, but it's not enough for my concious self, as I don't really accomplish anything tangible.
Any advice on how to overcome that? Have you found yourself on the same place as me? What has worked for you?
I should point out that I'm a lazy being, that likes to procrastinate and I get distracted easily.
