Even Stevens in Honey Boy?

After watching Shia's Honey Boy I was just wondering if anyone knows if its pre Even Steven's or during? From a bit of research I'm leaning towards before, but the friend he wanted to go to the baseball game with makes me think of AJ Trauth (Twitty). It was an incredible film and terrifically acted by everyone. Louis has a terrific life in the show so it makes a sad contrast to what Shia was going through when the cameras stopped. Highly recommend
