Where in the US should i go for my internship in mechanic? Help a girl out pleaaaase

I'm studying mechanic and we have to find a place for an internship in april. I'm from Quebec, Canada and I wanted to go somewhere (preferably with a warmer weather than here😅) where the "car enthusiast community" is very dense and/or where there would be events that i can attend to, too.

I really like old muscle cars but I can work with any car, really... do you know any garages/cities/states that I could find a nice garage who would also be willing to welcome a woman mechanic in their environment? And car-related things i can do around that place after work? I was thinking like a NICE garage with old american muscle cars or things like that but any other ideas would be nice (or an all-women garage?)
