[Anime] Character parallel

Hey fellow Redditors! I would like to share something that I discovered with you today. Namely, a character parallel between Leslie and Ray. Since they are both my favourite characters, I noticed some similarities between them that I would like to highlight in this post:

1. Leslie was always sitting under a tree. Ray was also seen sitting under a tree most of the time in the anime

2. Leslie was a shy/intorvert/socially awkward kid. So is Ray

3. Leslie didn't believe that he was good at anything. He had very low self-esteem. So did Ray, who believed that his life was "cursed" and whose biggest issue uptil the point that Emma slapped some sense into him, was self-loathing. He believed that he was good for nothing, he was the bad guy and he deserved to die because of what he did to his siblings

4. Leslie was very humble and down-to-earth. He did not get high and mighty at all when Isabella complimented him on his music. When Norman complimented Ray two times, first when he said "You are a better tactician than I am, Ray" and the second time "Did you make this tracking device disabler all by yourself? Amazing..." both the times, Ray's answer was "I don't know about that." and "It was nothing. After I found out the truth of the House, I had to do it"

5. They both have one common hobby that they stick to the most, i.e reading for Ray and composing music for Leslie. Each of them also has one thing that they excel in, mechanics for Ray and music again for Leslie.

I know many people say that Leslie is a parallel to Norman, but I honestly don't see how. In fact, I personally think that Leslie is the exact OPPOSITE of Norman. The only thing that really matches are their looks. So could the ones who say that he's a parallel to Norman please tell me how they see things too? I am really interested in knowing their POV's as well! 🥰😍. As far as pairings go, to me, Leslie/Isabella seems more of a contrast to Ray/Emma, given how they both are opposites, plus all of this that I typed above and even the fact that Isabella was exactly like Emma when she was that age too

And guys, please note that I'm talking about the CHARACTER parallel here. Not the SITUATION parallel. I know that includes that Leslie liked Isabella and all that stuff. Nope, I want to know how was Leslie similar to Norman PERSONALITY wise. Thank you! 🤗
