[Spoilers Season 3] Lets talk about our good ‘ole boy, Nick...

I just finished season 3, and I very much enjoyed it. The only aspect of it that’s really bugging me, though, are the revelations concerning Nick’s past.

Though as a plot device, >!Fred revealing Serena’s plot behind Nick impregnating June was so fun and spicy, that combined with Nick’s true rank in the Gilead forces... I don’t know, it feels unnecessary. Yes, it serves to Serena answering to all the shit she’s done and prevents her from getting Nichole so easily, but I wish we could have just left Nick alone. I could have lived with Nick leaving for Chicago and getting killed in battle and never hearing from him again, him dying as just a nice young man who was also kinda shitty sometimes.!<

What does everyone think? I haven’t read the books, so I’m deaf to his involvement in it.
