Anyone else have a problem with expired foods in their check lanes?

Im a TM at my local target store and deal with this problem way too often. I’ve been to several stores and a bunch of the candy and other snacks end up being expired. I’ve seen Reece’s that expires in June of last year at a target store that I was training at last week. Shit is nasty and whenever I’ve told the TL they just say, “yeah just make sure to check them when ever restocking” as if it wasn’t a big deal. I’m surprised nobody has gotten sick yet and tried to sue them over this BS
