So weird situation

I was hospitalized for an unknown infection. Later found out I had the virus that causes mono. However, the mono test days prior was negative. I am married and never cheated. What I found is that the virus can be spread through "fluids" anywhere from 6 weeks to 18 MONTHS after symptoms have subsided. My husband and I already have not had sex since Valentine's Day when my symptoms started the next day. We have been bareback our entire 11 year relationship. I don't think I will have a problem wearing a condom, but my husband does not enjoy sex as much when we do. So do we go celibate for the next year and a half? I kinda gave the option of allowing him to seek other lovers if he so chose given my predicament. I want to have sex badly, and have not busted a nut in nearly 3 weeks.

TL;DR- got mono, and potentially cant have sex for 18 months. What to do?

Sincerely, Sexually Frustrated
