Am I the only one that finds 3 better than 2?
Before I say anything, yes I know.... "buggy, slow, poorly optimised, rah rah rah"
But I do feel like I'm in a vacuum of appreciating Fable 3 as being the one to really knock it out of the part story-wise after the original.
In 2, it felt like your impact was minimal in everything you did and you floated about from place to place. The only character besides yours that had any development was Hammer, like you really felt like there was a friendship after it all.
Lucien had a grand scheme I'm sure but it was all revealed in like.... the last 5 minutes, and he was really only a villain if you had a family. I can honestly say I hated the commandant more as a real villain.
But with Fable 3, theres the rebellion and revolution. Meeting the characters, finding notes and diaries about who they were as people before all this (yes Lord Luciens diary is readable in 2, and does explain why he's like what he's like, but the game never capitalised on that)
Then you had the second half, the explanation of why Logan was a 'tyrant', why he had outside knowledge forbidden in brightwall and even why he tolerated Reaver's plans of industry so he could keep the old Hero of Skill close at hand.
All in all you felt the characters out a lot more in 3 because that's what they were, characters. I feel like fable 2 had npcs, not characters.
I'll finish up by stating what someone said once in defence of Fable 3 as a game.
"Fable 2 was the game to draw a new crowd in so they could experience something beyond the norm. Fable 3 was the game that rewarded long-time fans for being invested in how the world and people around them changed through the years, and gave them the chance to change it for better or worse."
My question to you guys reading though. What would you rather see? A remade fable 3 done right? Or fable 4?

I mean... Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Even if they are wrong.
Just kidding. I prefer 2 but if you prefer 3 then that's fine.
See, now this is the mentality you should have. I don't get people who sort of get mad when you say you don't prefer their favourite. Everyone has an opinion and just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there.
I am not a big fan of the third game personally, but I can respect other people's feelings towards it and find common ground to discuss upon it. Maybe that is a testament to how passionate some people are towards this series. But still...
I mean it's eventually just a videogame. I don't think that there is much need for fighting over it. Being nice to each other is better anyways.
I can understand people having strong feelings for the series/games. I too understand that feeling, but yeah we don't really get anywhere if we just argue over small details lol.
