I feel like we're gonna get fucked over.

Not only would it fuck us over, it would also fuck over the likes Leicester, Sheffield United, Leeds, and pretty much all clubs finances as broadcasters are under no obligation to pay out unless the season is fully completed. It just makes much more sense to resume this season whenever possible - even if it means a delay on following season.

If UEFA postpone the Euros until 2021 it will make things a whole lot simpler.

"If we get the games going in the beginning of April then we should be alright. But if we go through to May or June then it's almost the equivalent to what happened in the World Wars and the season just has to be cancelled and then it has to start all over again."

"They will have to abide by what the majority says and the decision made by the Board of Directors"

As he says himself it has to be a majority ruling. I can’t see a clear majority voting to void the season (aside from West Ham and Spurs lol), as numerous journalists have stated. Journalists have also been stating a majority approve the awarding of the title to us due to our standing and clear lead this far into the season.

Spurs have already said its bullshit haven’t they?

They have. So really only West Ham

I've said this already, West Ham should be booted for being pricks. I'm only half joking.

I love how you just ignore everything that runs contrary to the narrative you're spinning.

Fit-PerformanceOP•

What the hell are you talking about? What narrative?

I'm literally quoting what the lawyer on Sky Sports said.

2
Clydey2Times•

Yes, but you're posting it because it fits the narrative you have in your head. You seem determined to prove the season will be voided.

Multiple people have explained why that would cause enormous problems. Moreover, there has been more than one report claiming that almost no one supports the season being voided. The Brighton CE even said today that it would be unjust not to award Liverpool the title.

You have convinced yourself that the season will be cancelled and Liverpool won't win the title and you only seem to post anything you can find to support that conclusion.

It seems like you're reading too much into things.

My stance has been made clear. I don't think this season will go onto next season's. But I believe they may try to make us play behind closed doors after April or May to win the title if it's possible at that time.

Multiple people have explained why that would cause enormous problems.

Multiple people have also agreed with me if you look at the other replies as well as the Sky Sports senior lawyer.

I'm hesitant on replying to anything else you respond with because I think it would turn into an argument so I think we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Honestly at this point I don’t even care anymore....some things are bigger than football. Hundred of thousands maybe millions will die from this virus when it’s all said and done. I think a lot of people are really downplaying now serious this could be

badlydrunkboy•

You know it's possible to take the virus incredibly seriously, be concerned for people's well-being, and still be annoyed the league got canceled. It's not a one or the other thing. Was it the right thing to do? Yes. Am I happy it's canceled. Fuck no. I wanna watch football.

The fact is that things like football, going to the pub, going to a gig, play a huge role in people's mental health. When you go to the doctor saying you're down the first thing they will say is 'what do you do in your spare time?' So the fact that there is no football/gigs/dinner parties/playdates/and whatever is going to have a huge effect on people soon. Just ask all the people in China and Italy locked up.

It’s serious but if the world just stops it will only get worse in different ways, I’m no Tory but from everything I have read I can’t disagree with the approach we are taking.
