Satan gets a bad rap because he's just doing his job which is to be an asshole who brings about temptation. Lucifer is a whiny basic bitch who is out here throwing tantrums and deserve every bad rap he gets.

The devil/Lucifer/Satan/Samael was once an angel of God. He was cast out of Heaven when he defied God, and now is the punisher of sins in Hell... it is all just a story if you ask me. Some believe he is the embodiment and cause of all evil, but some consider him a servant of God because he isn't evil. He just punishes evil.

I take it from this story that God was a horrible boss and fired him so Satan because of a disagreement. I’m sure he was doing his task as best as possible but the office politics, though. After that he just started his own business because he has to make ends meet and he grow into a profitable market. Satan gets a bad rap and is a success story.

You can look at it that way. Truthfully, I don't believe in any of it, but it is a cool story. Lucifer was God's right hand man at one point. Maybe God feared being usurped or voted out by the others because Lucifer was gaining popularity and followers.... and maybe God is just a dick/ horrible boss.
