Why do you want to bar him access?
If he's given you advanced notice (48hours+), s/he has every right.
TBH, you should really have raised any genuine concerns when the visit was booked/announced.
If it's corona-related, I very much doubt he'll come and cough on your kitchen surfaces....when I was in rentals, it was always an eyes-only job.
Might there be something you're not telling us (and haven't told him) about something in the flat (eg: damage attributable to you)?
if she/he has given 24 hours notice they can come when they want ( i assume this has to be reasonable, but once in the 6 year tenecy seems reasonable..) the cornavirus thing might put them off however they can still legally enter..
also i think theres a law between 8pm-8am but not certain
edit: if you actually have a reasonable excuse for them not to enter, just tell them... i fail to see an actual reason unless you're doing something you clearly shouldn't be doing tbh..

Sorry - why do you want to bar entry? What are the "current circumstances" you're talking about?
I'm assuming he's referring to the Corona Virus but somewhat undermines his point by going to work
OP if this is the first inspection in six years what's the state of the place like?
Why can't the landlord come in?
