Schools not closed: have you sent your child?

A huge dilemma for many, wondering what your thoughts are? Or if others have stopped sending their children to school?

After deliberating, speaking to other parents and school, knowing most universities are stopping teaching on campus, schools world wide closed - I decided to keep child off, we are fortunate we are working from home and can do both, but not everyone's as fortunate.

Yeah my little sister is home and most of the school, looks like parents are not waiting for the government to decide what's best for them.

Smart.

A colleague of mine has his daughter off as she was showing symptoms. He's decided not to tell anyone and come into work anyway. HR have just found out and he's been told to go home. He's spent all morning in a small room with multiple people and even spent time at another office this morning which was set up to avoid contamination... Absolute farce.

My daughter has been home for a couple of weeks now, after a lad returned from Milan, I informed them of the situation in Milan and they closed for 2 days clean. Kept her home since

Don't send them. Enough people stop they will close schools. Do what's right. Every parent knows schools are just perfect place for spreading the flu and cold. Doesn't take a genius to know they should have been closed at the beginning of March.

Girl in my form has a persistent cough, says her whole family has it. Tried to ring home and cannot get through to anyone.

This is a timebomb waiting to go off.

A few students from ours are already out. Not loads though. Reckon it’ll increase throughout the week, particularly dependent on the outcome of today’s Cobra meeting.

Nope, today

I sent mine in, after much deliberation. I don't know if I've done the right thing. :/ The school seemed very quiet this morning, fewer parents at the gates, hardly any cars parked out front like there usually is.

Mine’s home today. I am hoping after today’s cobra meeting they will announce school closure from tomorrow or day after.

Mine are off, they have a grandmother with COPD in the house. She'd be screwed if she caught it.

Mine are off too. Really hope the government cave under the pressure. I’m doubtful at this time though. I don’t trust them one bit. Following my gut!
