I have a Model 01 since earlier and ordered the Atreus yesterday. Wish you all the luck with the project.

can i program the atreus using qmk?
I've had a couple of minutes tonight, and posted a draft pull request for QMK, adding Atreus2 support.
Even if this doesn't get merged as-is, it should be a good starting point for anyone who wants to do add the Keyboardio Atreus to QMK.
Not yet, this Atreus is using Kaleidoscope, but porting QMK to it should be pretty easy. The biggest obstacle I found with the port is the info.json for the keyboard. I may put up a draft PR soon, and let someone else fill that one in. :)
Does kaleidoscope have dynamic macros, string replay over twenty characters and tap/hold behaviour?
It has string replay (any length) tap/hold too, and plenty of other things. It also has a few variants of dynamic macros, the kind that's available in QMK is available as a third-party plugin.
Tri layer functionality? Can options be disabled to reduce firmware size
I’m so excited about this, ngl. I backed mine about a week ago and decided to get my own keycaps. I’ve always wanted a rainbow keyboard and realized the below pattern would be possible with the Atreus (with blank colored keycaps) and I am p u m p e d.
The only thing that I haven’t figured out yet regarding the Atreus is as a Dvorak user where my question mark key should logically go, and on which layer.
Heya,
I'm Jesse, half of Keyboardio. If y'all have questions, I'd be thrilled to answer them here (or over on Kickstarter.)
Looks awesome, congrats on hitting the goal so quickly!
Hey Jesse,
Huge fan of your boards. :)
You've helped me a few times with my Model 01 as well.
Sadly due to C19, I'm not likely picking this up in the Kickstarter. Looking forward to purchasing one in the future though!
Hiya! I can 100% understand that. It's a tough time for a lot of folks.
The post-kickstarter price will be a little bit higher, but hopefully not a ton higher.
The nice thing about the design of the Atreus is that it's a -lot- simpler for us to manufacture, which means that we expect our supply chain to stay pretty stable this time around, so there ought to be a keyboard for you when you're ready :)
Will the carrying case also be available post-KS?
Debating getting that tier, but the USD/CAD exchange rate makes the whole package about $200 CAD right now.
Absolutely. It may be a bit more expensive, though.

We've got a symmetric-stagger board in the wings. The PCB design is done. The case design is mostly done. If our old factory hadn't....done what they did, it'd be in production by now.
After the Atreus, we're probably doing a new version of the Model 01 with better LEDs and hot-swap sockets next. After -that-, I think the symmetric stagger board is probably next.
The keyboard archive.....turns out to contain a bunch of stuff that may not be public documentation. I've not ever gotten back to separating out the legal from the non-redistributable. Though I appreciate the nudge.

How much will it cost once the crowdfunding round is over? Not sure I can purchase it now, but I am interested.
We haven’t announced the pricing yet, but it won’t break the bank.

Hello! Just kinda curious how this keyboard is for gaming. Having you any thoughts in that regard?
