Glasses. Are they lame to wear if I don't need them?
I guess this is a just a quick question that I would love to hear opinions about. I've always liked glasses and thought I looked nice in them...but I don't have any practical use for them. That being said, I'm torn because part of me wants to say, "fuck it" and wear them while the other half of me feels like I'd be a mega-tool for doing it. Anyone wear glasses who doesn't need them? Any thoughts?
EDIT: Apparently this is a touchier subject than I first anticipated. So thanks for all the insight. It seems the overwhelming opinion is that it's pretty lame to wear fake prescription glasses. Even though there are some absolutely absurd analogies on the topic such as the idea that wearing them is similar to wearing a fake backbrace (thanks icallshenannigans)...I laughed at the mental image of it. I suppose I agree its pretty lame to wear fake glasses, but I don't agree to the degree with which people hold opinions on this subject. It just doesn't seem like a big deal to me...
