We aren’t ready. Who is planning???

We’re all hoping for Bitcoin (and other crypto’s) to soar while fiats come crashing down. But what good is safely stored value in a world of complete chaos? We need visionary leaders who can disseminate their vision and usher in the new chapter in human history. We ain’t got that right now.

The strangest question I've seen on here for a while.

Have you ever been a refugee? Apparently not.

Have you ever been friends with somebody who was a refugee? Apparently not.

Sometimes you need to flee - you need to get the fuck out of the country you're in. Yes, this could even happen to the USA. When/if you do, you might only be able to take what you can carry, and even that is likely to be taken from you at some point. In the past, refugees arrived with pretty much nothing but the knowledge/skills in their heads and the clothing they were wearing.

Let's say you have a lot of wealth. You can't bring your precious "real estate" with you. Cash? Good luck. Even in $100 bills, a million bucks takes up an entire suitcase, and it's heavy. Gold? Last I checked, a million bucks worth of gold weighed about 50 lb. Good luck being able to carry that and not have it taken from you at some point along your journey. Your IRA/401K/eTrade accounts? Gone!

Bitcoin? No problem. It weighs nothing. Takes up no space. I cannot be detected. It cannot be taken from you forcefully -- for example, they can't just blow your brains out and take your Bitcoin from you -- even IF they thought you had some. With Bitcoin, refugees can arrive with at least some of their wealth intact.

That's just one thing Bitcoin is good for. That's all I have time for right now. There are other good use cases.

I wonder if all power were to suddenly stop cash and gold would rule.

Watching Hidden Secrets of Money by Maloney. It’s pretty eye opening.

collectivist language is so dumb. speak for yourself. you don't know any of these people. "we" aren't a thing, except in your delusional mind.

Yet we are a community. Interesting, no?

I believe Andreas Antonopoulos has been doing quite a good job on enlightening people about Bitcoin so far. Of course, the more legit evangelists we have the better. You can also contribute to the process by enlightening your friends and family. We don't need a blind cult around Bitcoin, but education.

Would be nice.

But Humans are apes. Guess what makes a "leader?" The same thing it always has. The ability to play dominance hierarchy games and kill the maladaptive. Oh we don't "kill" in the direct way our ancestors did. "Alpha" ape gets a hardon for a female that already has a suckling kid... takes the kid and slams into into a rock or the ground, or rips its throat out or breaks its back... then it has the female it wants and makes *ITs OWN LINEAGE*

We do it with complex social games, political rhetoric, the delusional and psychotic shift between pure consequentialism or the deontic, depending on which atrocity we want to "justify" in the name of some nebulous anthropodicy - or if we're even more stupid, a theodicy.

Because that's the fundamental thing that "motivates" almost all our behavior. Gene replication. Pointless, pain-suffering-and-death exacerbating gene replication.

We Humans have this massive neocortex... which evolved I think largely as a response to our own awareness of the atrocity that is natural selection. It's a labyrinth of lies we hide in - the constant battle between default and dorsal mode networks in the brain; the attention mechanism drawn to this virtue signal or that religious metanarrative... All to keep it away from the sheer horror and stupidity of what DNA makes us do. Glucose-sucking, delusion-generating neurological tumors attached to digestive tracts... that's us.

Leaders are made of survivorship bias. That's all "skill" really is. Life is hell. Stop making more of it, you fools.

It would be nice though if what you ask for could actually happen. But solutions to fundamental problems do not survive the dominance hierarchy, because those solutions will only come from the maladaptive. Only what serves to perpetuate DNA gets your attention.
