Has anyone used this dock for Dex? with a galaxy s9 ? I need to get one today and want to make sure it works before I drop $100 on it

It should do - it may only work with power delivery though - i.e. having your charger plugged in to the USB C port on the dock when using it.
Also, before anyone says otherwise - that price looks reasonable, given that I suspect it's in AUD!

While it should work, If that is in euros or usd, that is insanely expensive

Australian dollars, I know I could get cheaper but sort of need it now so have to buy from a store local rather than online

I use this $25 one with no problems.

Too expensive, you can tun DEX with something much much cheaper
