Resident Evil 3 Demo crashing
Hello. I downloaded the new RE3 demo, but every time I launch it, it runs for few seconds and my monitor turns black i.e. doesn't receive signal. I can't do anything and I have to reboot my pc. Recently I tried to launch the demo through steam folder and I recieved this error.
Any tips how could I fix this?
My PC specs: CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 2600x GPU - AMD RX480 RAM - 16GB Motherboard - ASUS PRIME x470-PRO
Nothing have been overclocked or tweaked in any way. This is first time I'm experiencing this with any game.

Well it is a demo, so could be an issue on their end, do you have the latest drivers installed. Though i cant remember if drives for this game are even out, so that could be the cause of it.
You say you do not have this with any other game? You can try and verify the data on steam and see if maybe a few files were missing causing it not to boot correctly.
beyond that if you have a different drive, can try and install it on that. or maybe it needs to be reinstalled all together as data could have been corrupted.
It seems there are only few who experience this problem with this demo (I know one guy from RE subredit who has same problem and he hasn't found solution yet). Yes, I have latest GPU drivers up to date. I have tried verifying data on steam multiple times and didn't help.
Could you please tell me how to reinstall the drivers all together ?
You need to use a display driver uninstaller, guru3d has one

From there just download nivida again and install the new one. Should allow for a clean install of the drivers. That or if you are not happy to do that, you can uninstall using nvidia and install again that way, not as clean but often does the job.
this might not work, and could be another issue elsewhere, like your system with the demo. So as annoying as it is you could reinstall the demo from scratch
I have reinstalled the demo about 3 or 4 times its not that big 6GB.
I just manually uninstalled AMD Software and downloaded the drivers and reinstalled and didn't work. But I got message screen in game about DirectX that game will launch in Direct X 11 not 12. How could i make the game launch with DirectX 12 any thoughts?
Normally you can do this from the game, but you cant get on.
It's a new game so unsure where the files could be, but either in your documents (maybe under my games) or on the game folder itself there could be something called Config, where it can be possible to change it manually. But it being a new game I dont have the exact information or if it would even be there.
Does this happen on any other games? It could also be worth trying to install directX from windows/microsoft and see if that fixes anything. Other than that make sure other drives are all updated.
