Yeah, I'm a Peterson fan. How could you tell?

Hate to give it a click but I also sincerely do not know what 'neoreaction' is--which I still don't, stopped reading after this:
The more one studies the history of science, the clearer it becomes that science is Christian ... Science is a methodology for laundering error, bias and wishful thinking from your hypotheses. Scientism is a religion, a cult, based on the faith in the authority of academia.
Rationalwiki has a pretty good explanation
TL;DR, it's the libertarian->neonazi/altright pipeline, for people who want to rebuild society based on the blockchain. They mostly write ridiculously long blog posts and make diagrams that always seem to end with (((the jews))): https://rationalwiki.org/w/images/1/14/Pol_cultural_Marxism_conspiracy_flowchart.jpg
Ok but rationalwiki as a whole fits in r/badphilosophy
It stil has some good takes
The only good takes are where neoliberalism overlaps with left wing ideology, which is very rare and pretty much only in the form of "heres why this take (example: a Nazi belief) is morally terrible and irrational, but don't read any further because I'm about to give you another take thats less morally terrible but even more irrational."
I assume it's a slight improvement over the Conservapedia, the wiki that RationalWiki was made in response to after some doctor got banned for fixing some awful take on abortion (solid reason btw, sucks that they had to counter it with just as much bias.)
I think their pages on logic are somewhat decent, because I remember finding use in them for a few school essays a while ago, but I haven't checked in a while and I definitely would've agreed with the badphilosophy back then so idrk
Definitely, their page on postmodernism is some truly awful philosophy.
Thank you. Not that the Less Wrong people represent an apotheosis of philosophical erudition either.
No, but they're really useful for tracking down obscure flavors of right-wing weirdos.
That might be. I try and stay away from those types as their typical verbiage makes my soul curdle--I have almost as little patience for their bastardised liberalism as I do for Jordan Peterson's inadvertent pragmatism and Dark Net evo-psych circle jerking.
If you associate that site with Less Wrong just because of the "rational", then I think you are jumping to conclusions. I have never seen anything there that would hint at a particular connection to those rationalists (but I have not gone out of my way to look for it either) and the article on Less Wrong is certainly more critical than I would expect from Less Wrong people.
RationalWIki is, if anything, anti-LessWrong. There might be other reasons that they are bad philosophy but it's not because they're too into Bayesian statistics.
I am certainly drawing hasty conclusions. Thank you for correcting me!
Edit: But, upon further browsing both communities, I'll reclaim my prejudice and chalk whatever hostility exists between them up to narcissism of small differences. It would be prudent to abstain from such generalisations until I knew them both more intimately, of course, but as a heuristic it suffices (and they have equally hot takes on postmodernism).
nick land's the darkenlightenment and mencius moldbug's writings are good intros to it.
basically hyper capitalist microstates run exactly like corporations, democracy is bad, multiculturalism bad, different races have different degrees of neurological development, transhumanism for the elites/technologically driven high speed evolution, etc
it's very typical but also not lol "what if cyberpunk dystopia was good actually?" is nrx in a nutshell
yes i’m into critical theory yes i’m into bitcoin we exist
Gamergate was stupid enough, anyone who believes in "pizzagate" is too stupid to be allowed in public.
A tête à tête between Land and Petersen 😮
At least Land would read Peterson's work. Peterson would read the wikipedia page on accelerationism.
land would fckn wreck peterson lolol id love to watch that
both are absolute mediocre trash, dont get me wrong. but land is at least not quite as mediocre and boring as jbp.
lemme be clear here, tho: fuck nick land, guy needs to get knocked the fuck out and exiled to a swamp like grendel
I‘ll never understand PizzaGate

This is from a blog that was linked to in that delusional image: https://poseidonawoke.wordpress.com/
“Benevolent dictatorship” wouldn’t that only be possible if we made a sentient ASI that genuinely cares for humanity, is constrained by various quasi-universal ethical principles, and which does not suffer from human weakness?

do you mean Kant?
Do you mean the philosopher or someone/thing else?
