The episode definitely felt like they were rushing to get 5 episodes of stuff in to set up for next week. The psychic thing didn't make me happy but I could accept it, if anyone could build the genetics of a telepathy into an artificial being it would be a Soong. But the synths are going mass murder in 30 seconds? That's a lack of good plot development. And the flower thing? Why did they use them without contacting the people first considering they had synths off world? It's like they just wanted to show us the flowers because a writer had a cool ID or maybe to set up the gun on the mantle for the next episode.

Overall a very weak episode in my mind

Without actually understanding the science of mindmelds, it's not possible for you to say what is or isn't possible. Remember when Copernicus suggested the Earth revolved around the Sun and everyone thought he was crazy? That's what you're doing here. Your using your beliefs and feelings to dictate what you think is possible, not science.

If it's impossible, then please explain the science of mind melds and why physics says it's impossible. Can you even explain the scientific mechanism at work? We've never been given that information, so it's not possible for anyone to rule out Sutra's ability to perform a mind meld. Only science can disprove science, not opinions. Your opinion isn't based on fact and therefore it can't be used to disprove anything.

Obviously telepathy in Star Trek has a scientific explanation. The law of physics governing their Universe must say it's possible otherwise it couldn't exist. As a result, replicating the effect is just a matter of studying the science and determining the physical laws governing how it works. Once you do that you can replicate the effect and harness it in new ways. You know, exactly how science works in the real world?

Not everything in science is intuitive. We are not born with the ability to understand everything. If you add 2+2 and get 5, do you claim all of mathematics is wrong? No, you go back and figure out the mistake you made. Maybe the reason you think Sutra can't perform a mind meld is due to an error you made with your understanding of the science. If you have no understanding of it to begin with, then the issue probably isn't the science. You need to examine your own arguments for fault as much as you question everything else.

"Quick, we're in the second to last episode, how do we get this Admonition thing to the synths?"

Were you in the writers room? Then you can't speak about their decisions. You're engaging in the same behavior I spoke about earlier. You're letting your beliefs decide what's true and false. You're biased because you didn't like the scene, so you're coming up with an explanation which validates that belief.

I'm sorry but... did you actually read what I wrote? Please read it again. Nowhere did I complain that it is scientifically impossible in-universe, in fact I specifically said the arguments why it is possible in-universe are perfectly fine. Did you interpret my first paragraph as sarcasm or something? I agree that it is plausible that a synthetic organism can do it. I even said it is cool conceptually.

My argument is from a completely out-of-universe, narrative, writing perspective. It's about execution and narrative purpose.

Were you in the writers room?

Of course I wasn't, I specifically said that it feels like that, not that I know for sure it was like that. And then in the next paragraph I explain why it feels like that to me and why I didn't like the scene.
