It’s simpler times. You’re on the way to Treehouse with your work friends when one says, “I’ve never actually heard a Phish song.” Wtf do you play for them? CDT?

I’m sure this will be unpopular but the correct answer is Bouncing or Heavy Things. Truth is, these are gateway songs. Foreplay, if you will, for helping the unexposed mind to eventually want more.

Rift! It's uptempo, it's catchy, and it highlights everyone's individual wizardry.

Anything from a live one. I might choose Tweezer

Tweezer will have them bored before the jam even starts, and likely juat annoyed if they make it through the jam...

ALO CDT, on the other hand, will have anyone with a pulse headbanging.

I always thought Maze was a good intro song. Some people get weirded out by a lot of their lyrics. Maze doesn’t have that effect. Plus, it rips.

Hood, Lizards or Possum - any version of the 3 is perfect!

Chances are pretty good Treehouse will decide for them, but you can’t not like 46 Days.

Throw on Slip Stitch and Pass and let it play as long as they'll listen. It's a rare confluence of Phish being experimental, quintessentially Phishy, but very accessible to outsiders.

Hang on now what is Treehouse with a capital T, and aside from the fact of not having any work friends why haven’t I been to one?
