How Each of the Free Cities Could Be Involved Going Forward (Spoilers Extended)

I thought I would be interesting to discuss each of the 9 Free Cities and how they could be involved in the storyline going forward.

My attempt at a brief summary of the current state of affairs in each of the Free Cites

---

#The Big Three

Volantis

• Widow of the Waterfront/Slave Rebellion

• Volantene fleet

• Benerro/Red Temple

• Tigers/Elephants

Braavos

• Arya/FM

• Iron Bank/Tycho Nestoris

• Harys Swyft is tasked with negotiation with the Iron Bank

Pentos

• Illyrio Mopatis

• The Tattered Prince

• Harys Swyft is taked with negotiation with the magisters

• Due to several trade wars with Braavos, Pentos has not only outlawed slavery but also limited the Pentoshi military and prevented them from hiring sellswords. Its possible if Pentos joins with Dany this could cause Braavos to ally with Stannis or another claimant

#The Quarrelsome Daughters

Lys

• Lys/Tyrosh/Myr are all involved in their usual trade war/betrayal/etc.

• Victarion sends his slowest ships to sell slaves in Lys

• Edric Storm is hiding in Lys with his guardians

• Wildlings are picked up by Lyseni slavers and one ship (Goodheart) is impounded in Braavos, the other (the Elephant) may have reached Lys

• Ser Humphrey Hightower travels to Lys from Oldtown to recruit sellsails to fight the Ironborn

• Lynesse Hightower lives in Lys and is a concubine of Tregar Ormollen (Ser Humphrey hopes she will render aid)

Myr

• Myr/Tyrosh/Lys are involved in their usual game

• The Golden Company breaks their contract with Myr

• Victarion has a Myrish eye from capturing the cog Dove and holds her seasoned crew for ransom

Tyrosh

• Tyrosh/Myr/Lys quarrel

• Daario is Tyroshi

• located in the Stepstones (Aurane Waters, Golden Company, Dany's return, etc.)

#The Forgotten Three

Norvos

• Mellario (estranged wife of Doran Martell) lives in Norvos

• Ser Andrey Dalt has been sent to serve Lady Mellario for 3 years

Qohor

• Followers of R'hllor have recently tried to burn down the Black Goat

• Smiths in Qohor can rework Valyrian steel

Lorath

There really isn't much involving Lorath in the main story. Jaqen is from Lorath. Jon wants to send "Arya" to Lorath before finding out it was Alys Karstark.

It seems (at least to me) that the cities can be broken into 3 groups I listed above.

Feel free to share any thoughts you might have on how each of the cities could affect the story moving forward.

TLDR: Some quick facts on the goings ons in each of the Free Cites and how it could affect the story moving forward.
