Professor Sutton told radio station 3AW that "tragically" two men in their 70s had died overnight.

Died with COVID-19 or for COVID-19, is the question.

I remember the nan who died in QLD had underlying health issues, so may e these men did too, although they were also in their 70's so higher risk overall. Is this what you meant?

Yes. In Italy there are diverging opinions around how deaths should be counted and effectively they are not too sure anymore about who dies with COVID-19 (because of existing health issues) or for COVID-19 (no known health issues).

easy answer, would they have died if they never got COVID? probably not right.... more fairy tales to help us sleep at night

If Covid-19 advances their death, especially if their health conditions were immediately life threatening then I would count them.
