Unable to fall in love again
One year and three months ago I [29M] dated a woman [26F] and fell madly for her. My over-eagerness asphyxiated her and in the end she blocked me on all channels. Well, shit. I'd never fallen so hard for someone. Throughout the following months I went through all the stages of grief.
Today I'm mostly OK and dating. However, I catch myself subconsciously comparing every woman I meet to her. I've broken off every single "thing" I've had since, because it's unfair to them. Because I'm still thinking of her.
Three months ago she joined a chat app that I use and I sent her a message. A light and playful "How have you been?". She immediately blocked me there too without response.
Today I sent an (old-school) SMS, in the hopes it would reach her, stating: "Hey, it's been over a year, I know you owe me nothing but I wanted to ask for a conversation to get closure, I'm still broken and I need to move on." I don't think she will respond.
I have dated intensively and not felt a single spark ever since. Any insight, experiences or advice on how to move on and fall in love again?
