I offered a PA State Trooper 5 N95 masks (individually packaged). He reused stating he was not allowed to accept, or wear them while in uniform.

Northeast (MD/DE/PA/NY - Eastern Canada)

Title says it all. I asked a friend who's husband is a PA State Trooper as well and she said that it cuts down on hysteria. Seems a little reckless if you ask me as a first responder, but is standard practice. The PA Statey pulled up next to me at a BP Gas station, and I just offered politely "hey partner, I have a couple extras would you care to have a few?" He respectfully declined explaining his position.

Edit 1: REFUSED not Reused sorry :-( mobile.

Likely regulations about covering his face. Usually a very good thing, kinda shitty right now...

Yea just seems a bit reckless to me is all. I understand you don't want the Gestapo rolling through the streets, but I think most Americans would be sympathetic to the times.

My friend is a lawyer at the Wayne County prosecutors office in Detroit, and apparently the police force has had a major exposure issue and many of them are infected. He should have taken it, but I get why he’s suspicious. These are some crazy times, to be sure.

I mean. I should have had pants on, but a mask is a mask in the pandemic. Lol jk. I was dressed normal I work in the gas patch here in PA/OH/WV. Company truck, clean uniform, etc... I feel like he could tell I wasn't trying to hurt/infect him. Then again crazy suckers are coughing on produce and meat at Walmart as a "prank".

Precisely.

Lmao at “I should have had pants on”

My little sister likes to say, “pants are a prison”.

When we were kids you would find a trail of clothes leading from the door to the TV where you would find her happily watching TV.

Your sister is a wise woman! We have a very much barefoot family. My wife and children are shoeless, grass between their toes people. I'm the same way when I'm not working. It's a good feeling after being booted up all winter!!

You should donate those to a hospital instead in that case

I certainly could. My work has about 500 we use for when we are around silica sand areas. I'll be at our yard in the morning maybe I'll grab a stack or two and stop by the local hospital. Wonder if I could just walk up and hand them to them.

Make sure they have a donation program, usually they will have a drop-off site where workers in PPE will accept the donation. I don’t know if they’d take them if you just walked in with them.

I offered a cop a $5 Starbucks gift card and he said he couldn’t accept anything ever. Because it could be construed as bribery.

Hmmm.. who knows at this point I guess... that's wonky.
