If Lebron didn't do "The Decision", would he have come back to the Cavs?

Basically as the question suggests: If Lebron had left the Cavs just like a normal Free Agent the first time around, maybe we wouldnt have seen the outcry from Cavs nation like the jersey burning, etc.

Would he still go back to Cleveland in this scenario as maybe he didnt feel any need to redeem himself?

His whole thing was wanting to win a ring for Cleveland so i don’t see how that changes anything

No. He wasnt going back to the cavs im 2011. Bulls maybe

The cavs were a better situation in 2014 than the heat were

I think you’re misunderstanding

Yeah. The Heat were running their course and the Cavs were in a good spot to become competitive. After he finally got a ring I think deep down he wanted one in Cleveland.

He should have come to Dallas since he likes the Cowboys

Imagine the pre-Rondo 2015 Mavs but with LeBron instead of Parsons

Split his time between Dallas, New York, and Chicago for all his bandwagon teams.

Yea. If you ignore all the narratives he went to the team that had the best chance to win a championship

They were never even on the running, the only ones in the running were Miami, New Jersey Nets and Chicago

Yes, because not only was Cleveland his home town, but they also had a max cap spot for him, Irving and the trade capital and cap space to add a third star. That gave him the best chance to win.
