Every other day ?

Im about to get my first prescription of 1mg fin and was wondering if anyone has experience of taking the drug every other day vs every day. The reason for this is not because Im afraid of side effects but more soo because Ive heard it takes a 2-3 days to come out of your system so Id rather save some money because 90 pills costs around 100$ here in ontario, canada. (also no i dont want deal with a pillcutter and 5mg)
