How do i buy all the expansions if i already own the base game? And should i go pc or ps4

Question

Pretty simple question just wondering how i get the expansions on pc if i own the base game? Also should i play on ps4 or pc, on ps4 i own every expansion but the player count seems to be dwindling. Its not a big issue because i only play solo but it still worries me. So should i move back to pc! And if so how do i buy the expansions cause getting them one by one seems pricey!

These are direct links to existing items at the ZOS PC Store and MS Store. For any other vendor you MUST read the listing and see exactly what content THAT VENDOR is including in their item.

The ESO Standard Edition will give you permanent access to the Base Game + Imperial City DLC + Morrowind Chapter + Warden Class.

The FULL Elsweyr Standard Edition will give you permanent access to Base game + Imperial City DLC + Morrowind Chapter + Warden Class + Summerset Chapter + Elsweyr Chapter + Necromancer Class.

The FULL Elsweyr Collectors Edition will give you permanent access to Base game + Imperial City DLC + Morrowind Chapter + Warden Class + Summerset Chapter + Elsweyr Chapter + Necromancer Class PLUS all the collectors bonus items for ALL three Chapters.

The UPGRADE Elsweyr Edition will only give you Elsweyr Chapter + Necromancer Class. You must already have the Base Game.

The UPGRADE Elsweyr Collectors Edition will only give you Elsweyr Chapter + Necromancer Class PLUS its Collectors Bonus items. You must already have the Base Game.

OR

Pre-order the FULL Greymoor Standard/Collectors Edition. This will give you immediate permanent access to Base game + Imperial City DLC + Morrowind Chapter + Warden Class + Summerset Chapter + Elsweyr Chapter + Necromancer Class PLUS Greymoor Chapter when it releases.

Pre-order the FULL Greymoor XBOX Standard Edition.

Pre-order the FULL Greymoor XBOX Collectors Edition.

  • Playstation Store is still not listing a Greymoor Pre-order but may in the future.

OR

If you already have an ESO Edition you can just play until May 18 when PC Greymoor releases, Elsweyr will be part of ESO+. But the Necromancer will be a separate Crown Store purchase, which "should" cost no more than the 1650 Free Crowns you get with 1st month of ESO+.

ESO+ will also give you access to ALL content except Greymoor on May 18/June 2.

You would then need only a Greymoor Upgrade Edition to add that Chapter for permanent play.

This is an outstanding breakdown. Ty. It seems that for long absent old timers like myself, ESO+ sounds like the best deal. Then, if I’m having a good time, I can purchase Greymoor. Oh, and I think I’ll need to buy the Necro. I love new classes.

Cheers.

I’m curious about this, too. I own the base game on PC, and I think one or two xpacs after that. But I haven’t played in eons, and was curious what the best way to get back in game is.

I looked at Bethesda.net, and was thinking of buying the Greymoor chapter upgrade, but nowhere does it say it comes with any of the older xpacs.

I don’t want to sub, but don’t mind paying for an xpac here and there. Sadly, their business model seems too convoluted for me.

From what i can gather you actually have to buy them separately or buy the whole game again.

I’d say your best bet would be to go with ESO+. Basically same amount of crowns as buying them individually + a lot of nice benefits. But not everyone feels the same as I do

Could you list the extra items we get when buying the full Elsweyr collectors edition compared to the full standard edition?

Want to buy Elsweyr but still deciding if the collectors is worth buying.

Also, you get dlc through the website on PC. Follow the prompts, you'll see it. I prefer PC because of the community. But it mostly comes down to who you will play with. If that isn't a factor for you, go PC and get the mini map. It'll make your life easier.
