Are people saving up shadow tower keys for the next update? or just the fragments? and why? thanks

Shadow, Moon and Eclipse Keys and Fragments can be crafted into delve fragments for a limited time, and then will be removed from the game (currently planned for Jan 1, 2021)
So it doesn't matter if it's keys or fragments of each type since it will be all delve fragments at the end. Just means either more or less depending on how they convert.
My guess
Is that each would convert into a fragment.
The keys would be 1 Shadow key = 50 delve fragments, 1 Moon key, 1 eclipse key = 200 fragments . Then the fragments just converts over.

I have not read the patch notes that fully. Is there a reason that we should be saving this stuff?
For what it's worth, I have 1461 Eclipse keys and 247K key fragments. Is that enough? I don't do enough ST's I guess.
Idk, that's why I'm asking. I've heard people talk about saving them for the next patch.
