Finally YES The Elusive Falcon Wings

OK I know this is not a big deal for most but Lord have Mercy i have been making runs for these for over 2 months.... ( several times each session ) Today i said THIS IS THE DAY and for the last 3 hours, I non-stop ran the board quit restart... My 5yr old son came to me 20 minutes ago and said dad log off lets have a nerf war i kept procrastinating and making runs LOL ---- And thank the lord i did not Log off because Boom check the photo hhahahaha i never have to run this again so happy !!!!

Second i got to teach my son a lesson about never giving up LOL he was as pumped as me when i found them --- FYI i am now in the middle of an intense nerf war.... with darts everywhere , sweating, goggles fogging massive cleanup coming soon LMAO

Dude congrats on the wings I am where you were running it hours at a time looking for them lol. I'm so mad at D3 right now because I need the 2 conquests to complete my season journey and one of those is curses so I've been getting bashed on the RNG on that as well.

You've renewed my vigor in going back and chasing those wings again though thanks for that.

The conquests are just not nice this season. I didn't mind running a second toon to get Years Of War, but after several attempts at the Cursed Peat it started to look like Guardian was unattainable for me.

Thankfully, I decided to go for Boss Mode solo and got it comfortably on my second attempt. Give up on Curses, particularly if you're on console, find a speed build and go Boss Mode.

I have to agree i got sort of lucky the no communication really hurts with the cursed peat one ---- but i got lucky because a bunch of us just hunted it on the same day without ever talking and worked together ---- if you dont have a normal group you run with this one is tough

I thought about going for boss mode solo since I have an archon wizard this season and should be able to zip around, but I don't know the maps that well so I'll likely have to have a friend run it with me.

Curses is... really that. The other day I entered/left the game session for over an hour and couldn't get it to come up. Had someone try with me on the other chest that you can get close on and that's all we did was get close.

I don't wanna make another character in the same season since I won't get a guaranteed set for them and it takes a bit longer to get through that threshold to take you to high enough GR to farm gear without it.

What I have been thinking about doing is shooting for the GR solo hardcore conquest as I have never done a HC character and feel like that threat of losing it all could create a nice thrill in chasing that conquest. Especially since the only thing left to do with my wizard is push at this point. And that becomes soooooo tedious I hate to say..

Hardcore isn't for everyone but it's a thrill ride where every passing moment of success means that grieving for your fallen hero will hurt that much more.

However, beyond the adrenaline, the real benefit to hardcore is that you begin to dig deeper into the game and start to really think about your gearing and play style.

Yea it's easy enough to get drops to play the meta style and grind really high and there is fun in having a boss character that can slay at will. But I do miss grinding at the lower levels when my wizard was using the mirror image/slow time with hydras and arcane torrent. It was totally different and fun in it's own way even though it's not something feasible for the main things we usually do like GR pushing, speed farming items, gem leveling, etc.

If you’re worried about not making a second character because you don’t get the free set, you should know that if you make a HC character, you not only don’t get a free set, but you can’t use anything from your softcore character.

Thanks --- Yeah we had like 4 of us all looking for it at the same time exit and re-enter when one would find the curse peat we would invite the others took 1/2 day failed numerous times but got it eventually most painful being 3 shy of the 350 that one hurt !!!! then did the armor set challenge to finish off the season you will get it....

I honestly didn't think the falcon wings worked on switch but saw people posting here and kept me motivated good luck bro

I have seen the posts on the cosmic wings hopefully i will eventually land them but for some reason these were a pain for me that mysterious chest never wanted to come out

Ive farmed up the chest for myself and 3 friends, cosmic wings i put hundreds of hours into, never got it. =( I gave up lol

Yeh they’re tough. Ive been attempting them for over 2 years now. I probably do around 20-30 minutes worth of farming every time I log in. I hope one day.

I have obtained them and cosmic wings in one evening of about 3-4 hours farming for wings. Didn't know how lucky I got until way after, when I saw all those forum posts of people saying they were farming them for months...

Awesome congrats! I got them for the first time a the other day too and it was so satisfying. So stoked to never look for that mysterious chest again lol!

Also PSA: For others who are hunting these before cosmic wings, Check the location WHILE hunting for rainbow goblins. These wings should only take a couple hours to get, there are fixed spawn locations and there’s a community to join that has other people hunting them that will tell you if they find them and you can join their game to acquire them.

Edit: just saw he’s on the switch, not sure how everything works on there I’m talking from my experience with D3 on PC

Wow, you're super unlucky. I've run for them a couple of times (helping people) and always got them within an hour or so

Wow I feel even more lucky after reading this. I didn't even know about the falcon wings before the other day, teamed up with a random and we got taking about all the collectables. And decided to chase the falcon wings. I kid you not the first load up and the chest was there. Guy was screaming on mic with joy when they popped out of the chest.

Thank you for posting! I’ve been doing runs daily for hours and was about to give up. Good to know they still drop!
