Knight Artorias

Why do I feel as though he’s truly the main character of Dark Souls 1? Let me know what you think, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

What do you mean about “main character”? I think there’s no “main character” in dark souls, there’s just stories connected ones to the others, some deepest than the others. Artorias has a deep one, but not like Gwyn’s or witch of Izalith.

That’s a good point. I just feel like since his lore is so deep he’s a main character in the story. There are lots of things connected to him and he even has three boss fights (including his own) that have relevance to him.

He as a DLC dedicated to him, you probably haven’t played DS3 because there is another boss connected to him. He is the main character of the DLC, it even has is name but not the entire game.

If I had to point a “main character” it would be Gwyn.

I gotcha. I haven’t played DS3 yet, still in the middle of DS1 actually haha.

Yeah Gwyn makes sense as well.

Farron’s undead legion Abyss Watchers, they have wolf’s blood and have inspiration on Artorias to fight against the Abyss. Also after killing the you get Artorias’ sword

Considering that it's likely artorias on the box art this would make sense

Artorias is the best! Agree that of all the NPC's, to me he feels like the most fleshed out and integrated with the storyline. You hear about him all over the place, and when you finally get the chance to meet him in the expansion, he does not disappoint.

I'd actually say four boss fights if you count >!his role in protecting Sif in the Abyss so that you could have Sif help against Manus. All the feels!!<

Wish there was a covenant associated with him...would totally join.
