Donating to Toronto charities during COVID-19

Hey guys. I'm in an unusual situation that both my GF and I have stable tech jobs and life in a rent-controlled apartment with access to a backyard AMAZING landlord. It's hard seeing other people going through such a rough time when honestly things are fine for us .

I'd really like to make a donation to somewhere, but I'm embarrassed to say I've never donated to a charity before. I'm don't really have any preferences, as long as it's Toronto-based and not super political/religious or with bloated administration. Thanks a bunch! And stay safe everyone.
