Hello all! Welcome to r/SwitchSpines! This is a new version of our FAQ post.

##How do I make my own spines? Check out our tutorials:

For creating spines in Photoshop:
Photoshop Spine Creation Guide

For bringing your beautiful creations into the physical realm:
Printing & Cutting Guide

##Where can I find the template?
Right here!

##How can I prevent the spine from jostling around in the case? Honestly, it's not something that you particularly need to worry about. We've done some testing with standard use of the spines and we've found that the naturally forming divet in the plastic holds the spine in place pretty reliably.

However! If it is of concern to you or you're having issues with it, there is a fix! Simply keep a little bit of blank print above and below the spine when you cut it out, and fold that over the original artwork and that should work!

##Can I make a spine for a game even if someone's already made one for it? Absolutely! We encourage it so that people have more to choose from.

##What if a game I have doesn't have a spine yet? Well, you have two options: You can either make one yourself, or if you're not so savvy with photo manipulation software, you can request one here. Feel free to list as many as you want and someone will get round to yours eventually.

Requests are added to this spreadsheet, so if you're looking to make something, check the sheet out!

##Do I have to pay for any of this? Nope! We promise that none of this content will ever be locked behind a paywall, but if you're feeling generous and you'd like to tip any of the creators for their efforts, take a look in the comments section of a creator's submission. Creators are allowed to post a personal donation link in the comments so that you can support their hard work!
