Rule 5: As the Duke of Nassau allied to normal France they went Revolutionary. After allying them again to a little while later they offered a Royal Marriage and 1 month or so later he died giving me a PU on Revolutionary France.

They keep being a subject after succession but they still give me the counter revolution.

Yeah, this drove me a little bit crazy in my recent Munster → Ireland → Great Britain campaign. I took the union CB from my missions and enforced it on Revolutionary France… and they stayed revolutionary. They killed their king so that my king can be their not king… makes sense, I guess.

I’ve kept them as a union for about forty years until the Napoleon event fired and broke my union because it forced them to receive a new ruler. I decided I had enough and dismantled the revolution, broke the truce, and restored the union because screw the triggered modifier. I like my prestige high, thank you very much.
