I’m not saying this situation was handled right, but that’s definitely not a guy out jogging.
Get this garbage out of here. It proves nothing. It’s going to be removed just like every other one so far.
I read the comments, Ray!
But seriously, there is NOTHING suspicious about looking at a house under construction while youre walking or jogging. I've done it dozens of times. It's neat to look at the bones of a home under construction.
He didnt take anything, wasn't acting furtive or suspicious. There had been no reported burglaries in the area recently, nor was anything taken from the house. It's a bullshit argument.
I've lived in North FL, just south of the Georgia border. Racism is completely part of the culture. It's everywhere, all the time.
I think we’ll learn more when this goes to trial. I believe these men will be convicted of (at least) manslaughter.
That being said, every time I see a comment like yours, I question just how many people are unaware that this is trespassing, which is a crime. If he had been looking at the bones of the home from the street, that’s one thing. Presuming he didn’t have permission from the home owner, this is something else.
According to the Vox article, another home that was under construction was robbed of roughly $2,500 of fishing equipment around the same time as all of this.
We’ve also gone from “he was just looking into a window” to “he was just inside an unfinished house”. I do not believe this alone is cause for what happened but, in my mind, people need to come off that this man was hunted down and executed as a simple jogger minding his own business. This video and the 2 911 calls don’t support this theory.
