Can't decide between Toaks 550ml VS 700ml "short and wide" titanium pots
Hi all!
I use a DIY Kojin-like alcohol stove, I already have a 900ml "wide" Lixada titanium pot that I bought for single-person use but... I learnt how to use its capacity efficiently and now it is my go-to pot even for two person trips (well, I also discovered that its real capacity is 980ml)I love "short and wide" pots with long handle to do real cooking and not only boiling water.I'd like to buy a smaller and lighter pot for real single-person use, and I was pressing the button on the 550ml 62 grams Toaks bowl:

...when I saw that the 700 ml "big brother" costs and weight nearly the same (+4$ on AliExpr and +3 grams without lid)

I know I can cook with a 550ml mug but I also know that cooking with a 700ml pot would be easier and less of an hassle.
(the fact that it also has a lid isn't relevant as I always replace them with DIY solutions)
The increased volume would probably permit me to store inside the pot not only alcohol & stove but also the "tee, coffee & sugar" ziplock.
So this at the moment seems to me as the "right" choice for my needs, but I'm wondering what's the point about having a 700ml and a 900ml pots... they are a little too similar, and the 37 grams weight gain won't justify the 31$ investment...
...Any suggestions? What's you experience?
Edit:
- I'm from Europe, so no problem with fire ban.
- I will always use alcohol stoves (no gas).
- I can't buy from US because it usually is too expensive (with duties and shipment)
