What's life like with 2016 Model X 75D?

Thinking about purchasing a cheaper Model X but curious about those of you that have a lower range model. Low 200 range seems like it would be a pain in the ass on road trips. When traveling I don't like to stop very much, but with kids it's usually hard. Try to go 3-4 hours then only stop real quick for snacks and a bathroom break. Usuall close to 700 miles one way, will this take me longer than 12 hours in a Model X?
