Looking for tobacco recommendations.
I’m nearly ready to put a tobacco order in. This past month I’ve sampled a few different blends. I found James Fox’s Ardagh to be quite pleasant and as far as I’m going to go with aro blends for now . I found Cornell and Diehl’s Carolina Red Flake with Perique to be an obviously good tobacco blend but not quite to my taste as of now. It was a good smoke but it just didn’t do much for me. I will explore it further again at a later date . By far my favourite blends have been GL Pease Quiet Nights and Peterson Night Cap. My first bowl of Quiet Nights quite literally blew my mind. I thought to myself “Ah now I get this whole pipe smoking thing for real!” Sublime stuff. As far as I’m concerned it’s a completely different animal to what I had smoked before. I find Nightcap to be much the same as Quiet Nights in that way. It really just hits the spot for me. These blends are the type that I want to be smoking all day ,every day. So it seems that I like English blends but as a new pipe smoker I don’t quite have a grasp of what elements of each blend are produced by what component. In fact I find it difficult to articulate what I actually enjoy so much about these blends. So I’m not exactly sure what to look for. So considering all of that , what blends would you recommend to me? As a final comment I have to say that this subreddit/community is really top notch. It’s probably the most engaging and welcoming community that I’ve come across on this. Thanks for all the help. All the best!
