Some analysts are picking Broncos to challenge for West- Joker laughter

HYPE

It’s pretty laughable as some analysts and fans of other teams are picking the Broncos to challenge KC. “They are much better “. I send them last years 2 game total score.
Chiefs 53. Donks 9 It’s funny how every year some fans think the division is won during the offseason/draft.

I don’t think Drew Lock is good at all. I’m fully expecting Elway to make a play at Rodgers in the next year or two. They have some young WRs but it won’t matter with a trash QB.

So far, he's Trubisky minus the sacks: https://i.imgur.com/qHjc5Z9.png

Much smaller sample size and he’s a rookie with a brand new team. Horrible comparison

My reply from another thread today:

Yeah, 5 games is too small a sample to draw too many conclusions. I don't really expect him to be Trubisky--just a funny comp I noticed. We'll have to wait and see.

Exactly. Denver won’t get same results as manning.

He’s pretty solid.. I mean just from his few games he’s clearly head and shoulders above any other QB Elway has drafted. That’s a pretty low ceiling.. but Lock has some solid upside and I think anything else is just wishful thinking

Maybe

How can they win it when this is finally the Chargers year (again)?

Also the Browns have this years hype on lock down till late July, per NFL rules. These guys are going maverick.

Bengals hype not Browns this year

It’s something Ohio or Florida every year. Super bowl potential in July.

The difference is, I actually expect Cincy to get better.

I’m gonna be truthful hear, Denver and LV are really threats when you look at the AFCW. A ton of improvements have happened for the offenses for both teams. Not major threats like going 0-2 against them but a minor hick up loss.

But dear god do we really expect they’re coaching and OCs to have improved too? Every time I read or hear about Denver, they act like because Lock got there, they’ve figured out nuclear fussion and created infinite energy. They fixed a major problem they’ve had for years by finding a young QB.

I’ve said this before, a lot of divisions have teams that are forced to fight for a wild card spot, and both Denver and LV are going to be doing that this year.

Agree on coaching. Couple of key injuries and it drops you. Healthy for playoffs is key. Spags second year. MP2 will be even better. I think the Chiefs jump will be better than their jump.

Well both of the takes above about the Donkeys and LV are taking into account that the coaching staffs will have a normal rookie camp and time to work with all the new players they have brought in through the draft / free agency. I am not sure if anyone noticed, but this off season will be unlike any other. We have a Super Bowl champion squad returning all but a few players, we have a few improvement players at positions of need. We have veteran players on their side of the ball reaching out to bring the rookies up to speed. In other words the Chiefs will be one of the most complete and ready teams at the start of the NFL season whenever that is. Let them predict whatever BS they want, Drew Lock is a nice story but he hasn't proven anything yet. We have a certified legend at QB.

I think you me fusion. Homer Simpson works at a fission plant.

I’m sorry, been watching a ton of Simpson’s recently. Thank you.

Could be that this years scores will be 53-10... then the Donks can say they got better :)

That’s an improvement.

Objectively they have a nice looking receiving corps on paper and our corners are prob the weakness of our team they def don’t lack talent but at the end of the day mahomes is on another planet than lock

2
cyberjediChiefs•

If by challenge for the West they mean maybe only a game or 2 behind during part of the season they may be right. Early in the season.

2
stayclassypeople•

I do think the broncos are a potential wild card team if Lock isn’t terrible, but their ceiling is 10-6. However, I think a potentially shortened camp/preseason will be very damaging for them as an inexperienced QB needs time to gel with his revamped offense.

Have the media finally given up on picking The San Diego Chargers of Los Angeles as their darling?

Commander_CheetoOPPatrick Mahomes II #15•

Since Rivers left, they have little faith. I will miss the 4th quarter INTs. Will watch Carr now.

They need a new fan base in LV, so, no, have not stopped.

I'm a Chiefs fan living in Denver. These clowns really think Lock has the chance to be elite. The radio guys have their heads way up Elway and Lock's asses right now. Elway apparently bought himself another few years with Lock. They were finally starting to turn on Elway halfway through the season, but now everything is gravy in Bronco country.
