Where to make contact?
Hello, hope everyone is safe and doing well.
Was wondering if anyone could answer a question for me which I've been struggling with for years and years.
I’ve watched every goal kick tutorial that’s out there, most of them multiple times. I think I know what to do regarding the run up, where to position arms etc. but the one thing I can’t for the life of me figure out is where on my foot to make contact with the ball. Some tutorials say to use the laces whereas some say to use that bone on the side of your big toe.
Could anyone give me any assistance with this please, or perhaps some tips that really helped you hit the ball properly? I don’t know how to angle my foot at the ball properly or if I should even angle my foot at all and if I should just strike straight through with the laces.
As I say I’ve watched a large amount of video tutorials (which I’m very grateful for) but this just seems to be something I cannot get to grips with so if someone could explain it in a bit of a different way that would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
