Lash lift advice/tips

Hi loves!! I’m a new esty and just took a certification course for Lash Lifting. In order to fully receive my certification I must send the company a before/after photo on a live model. I figured I would perform the service on my mom being that it’s quarantine and she’s the only female in my household. Turns out she has super sensitive eyes and the second I touched her face her eyes started watering, I did not go forward with the service because that would just be torture. I was wondering if you guys had any tips for sensitive clients (ofc if they’re too sensitive I will not perform the service) or if you’re in the middle of the service and their eyes start watering what are your tips/tricks to help?

I have a lash extension certification so I know what to do in that situation if a client starts watering but with perming solutions on the eyes I don’t see it possible to blot with a tissue/or fan the eyes without irritation. If you could help it would be much appreciated thank you!!!
