I like the video, there were definitely nice bits of insight Stuff like picking units based off synergy.
I’m still very new, so I’m stuck in the mindset of laser focusing two synergies. Rather than picking up one main synergy, and dancing around the others.
One critique and suggestion. I found that some of the commentary was too focused on the “in the moment” decision making. Swap this unit for that, sell this unit etc. Without time for going into explaining why the change would be made.
Maybe try a format where, for the first game, you or the guest records a game. And then you both go over the game. This gives you the freedom to pause and discuss moments. Why did they sell X unit, Why did they position in that way, what were they thinking about when they rolled.
Then the second game can be done live, with the current format. With some of the more minutae commentary already gone over.
awesome thanks Doa
Jeeeeeesus I remember you’re WW only stream maybe 8+ years ago
So this isn't considered self advertisement?
I'll let the mods decide, but I don't think so.
"We love engaged content creators! Links to your news, articles, interviews, websites, tools, and guides are permitted provided the content meets other rules. Please interact with the community and don’t use this subreddit to spam. Abuse can lead to warnings or bans."
I'm not asking you to buy anything. Just sharing content I made.
Yeah our current rules kinda contradict each other... Rule 5 states that video content basically has to be a guide or gameplay commentary and yet Rule 9 allows for everything you stated above. I’ll let this one slide for now since I’m sure there’s some relevant insights in the 90 minutes. For anyone else seeing this please know we’re working on a rule overhaul. The document is still in the works but it’s happening I assure you!
Curious to see how you'll handle the rules rework. This is sort of a podcast + gameplay commentary.
At any rate I won't post anymore if you don't want me to. I think it's relevant content for the competitive community, but rules are rules. Just for clarity, I don't make anything off of YouTube or really care to. The channel isn't even monetized.
Self promotion seems to be a vague thing atm since a lot of content on the subreddit is posted by the creator. That's pretty unavoidable in a small esports scene like this atm. Things'll change as we grow though.
Yeah there’s a good bit of gameplay review in there so I think you’re good.
Yeah, they contradict each other AND you removed MY podcast even though this guys hasn't been touched. Can you tell me why? I don't advertise anything, it's free, I talk about the TFT boards. The removal was without a message so I did not even KNOW that you had removed my post. Honestly triggering to be treated this way u/Aotius. My account is epic king salt, just in case you want to check out my removed post
I started a podcast this weekend and didn't post anything because you have removed 3 of my posts already on my LiveCatharthis account and gave me a warning that any more "self-promotion" and I would get banned. Honestly really frustrating, I guess I might as well post my podcast and hope it doesn't get removed for some random reason. Which tbh, it wouldn't even surprise me.
So, can I ask why this guys post of HIS podcast doesnt get removed, but mine did? I asked directly to mods and they won't reply. Any help from anyone would be greately appreciated. It is literally the same thing, a podcast...
Alright let me break this down for you.
First off, no you never directly asked us. We as a mod team never received any direct communication from you through modmail and instead you spam 3 separate comments on a post that you're not even the originator for, one of which is a reply not to me but to the OP complaining about how his post was allowed to stay up but yours was removed.
Second of all, no it is not "literally the same thing". This "podcast" is one in name only and really is more of a video gameplay review. On the other hand, your video was one where you reviewed your own TFT puzzles and contained no actual gameplay footage. The reason we approved this post is because despite it being labeled as a podcast it does not break rule 5.
We've actually allowed a lot of your posts to stay up despite receiving multiple reports because they did not break any of our current rules but double-dipping on the podcast when you already posted the puzzles was too much.
To address your other comment, sure you might not have sponsored content, but you're still excessively advertising your own content. It's fine to be a redditor with a youtube or twitch channel, but not ok to be a youtube or twitch channel with a reddit account.
So becaus I dont have an animation of the board it breaks rule 5? I'm a single person who cant manage putting a video for every single board that I design based on the lack of custom games
The puzles are not considered competitive and I'm assuming the TFT instruction manual also is not considered competitive? Your definition of reditor with a YT account sounds like its ok to be a nobody on redit with a YT account, but you cant be tryin to grow a youtube account and post content that isn't TFT tournament or stuf thats ben done a milion times to death like talking about how urgot is op or stuf like that?
Final thing, I have sent multiple mods multiple mesages. I have the chat logs if you wish to verify that I have tried to contact you multiple times. I had to make a post twice in order to have it get banned to get your atention I think this subreddit and the mods and specialy the arbitrary rules are just not for me. I am going to try the tft subreddit and hope to have beter luck there.
I'm doing a weekly (or more if there's interest) show that's designed to give fans more insight into specific TFt pro's playstyles. It'll hopefully be educational and give you more reasons to cheer for one pro over the other as the esports scene grows!
Definitely interested in feedback so don't hold back! Hope you like it!
