[Morgan Rielly] "It’s hard to articulate my feelings right now. That said, what’s happening is wrong. We all have a responsibility to act; to listen, to learn, to speak up but most importantly to never accept anything less than equality, justice, anti-racism and love."

Went to school with Rielly and he was always a real one, always gave you the time of day no matter who you were or what your “status” was. His character has never been a question, glad to see that being a hot shot in Toronto hasn’t changed him
I'm obviously not a Leafs fan but was sad he wasn't named Captain of the team.
Come on, Captain Morgan is a great nickname!
Agreed
There are many Leafs fans (myself included) who share that sentiment. I'll be on the Captain Morgan train forever, but JT has been the ultimate professional so far, so we really can't complain.
Nice to see Mo continue to be an upstanding guy here.
It's a good problem to have that we have at least 3 incredibly deserving candidates for Captain.
The C is for the fans. I have no doubt he acts as a captain in the locker room, just the feeling I get from the way he talks and the way his teammates talk about him.
Obviously putting rivalries aside he’s a dude with a good head on his shoulders it seems, definitely a nice to the point statement too. Good to also see that players are speaking up.
Rivalries are silly when it comes to life outside of hockey. There is no doubt Boston's players also have good heads on their shoulders.
Of course! Definitely proud to be a part of the sport and a fan of the NHL. I’m lucky enough to have never experienced any racism/sexism in the sport myself or within my group of peers, but I do understand that this abssssooolluuuuutely is bigger than a rivalry within a sport.
Leafs fans are good a keeping player egos in check with the occasional threat to their life.
