Northern NJ 6b- concerned about yellowing already.

Warm Season

I’m in northern NJ and had my lawn redone by a pro 2 years ago. Came in great but last year grubs got it and ruined it. I nuked them too late and worked hard to salvage it. Came in really nice this spring and even enlisted a pro to handle quarterly treatments (fertilizer, pre-emergent, insects, etc) because I didn’t want to screw up again.

Well, it’s starting to yellow again and I’m concerned. I called my guy and he said it’s too early to be concerned about grubs, but that’s what got me in the past.

No dog pee by the way.

Is my pro not being truthful or misinformed? I’m not able to peel up patches of lawn like I could with the grubs last year, but I’ll be damned if I let them eat my lawn to death again!

Any advice would be appreciated!
