I need a car, but can’t afford one
Here’s my situation. I’m 22. I don’t have a car and I also don’t have my license due to anxiety. I can’t currently afford a car with what I make. I make $12.00 an hour and work about 20 hours a week. I was supposed to get a bonus for working during COVID ($2.50), but if you missed work for any reason you forfeit the bonus.
As of right now I only make about 900 dollars a month after taxes. My parents said that they would help me buy a car if just keep saving, the problem is that I have credit card and student loan debt that I want to pay off because my credit score is so low. I can’t get a loan or finance a car. I’m stuck in a bad situation because I rely on my dad or Uber or Lyft to get to work and I spend almost 200 dollar a month in Lyft or Uber. I don’t know what to do.
ETA: I have a bike already it’s just hard to ride to work because I have to cross the freeway and I don’t know where I could lock it up
