How to compare KNN and Linear SVC classifiers?

I have been assigned a task to build datasets and train a classifier to identify letters. I decided to go with the Linear SVC classifier for this and compared it with a KNN classifier. What would be the best way to compare classifiers such as these? So far i have used scikit the

metrics.classification_report 

to find out the precision and recall of each letter and the overall accuracy. I have also used the Confusion matrix. Is there any other ways to compare them or would these be enough?
