IB2 gem forging problem; time isn’t passing correctly

I have three gems that say they took 30 mins to forge, but I’ve left them for several hours and they’re still not forged upon my return. This has happened every time I’ve tried to forge, with 30 min gems taking multiple sessions over days to finally finish forging. It might be because it stops passing time when the app automatically closes after a set period of time without being opened? Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
