Guys are such weird flakes...

So I haven't had sex since February due to the pandemic because I wanted to be responsible as much as possible. However, as restrictions have lifted off in my state and things are reopening, I downloaded Grindr last week in search of a FWB someone who is in the same boat that is trying to be responsible and trustworthy and where we can be consistent, so they can release their sexual tension during the pandemic. Not doing hook ups at all. It seems like a lot of other guys are searching for the same. But as expected, everyone gets so flakey, but now I am seeing the weirdest behavior.

Last Sunday chatted with a guy and hit it off. We had a phone date the following day but before then he had been texting me quite a bit, great text conversations. Phone date went really well. We talked for an hour, and he was telling me how he is a mentor and he is working to improve kid's lives. I thought it was admirable and like I said we hit it off well. At the end of the call HE suggested we go for a walk outside on Friday as he would like to meet me. I agreed to it and we set it in our calendars and he told me he was excited to meet me. Then the next morning he blocked me and hasn't responded to my texts confirming a time for tomorrow. I don't care if someone is not interested, but what was the point of him pushing for a date and then to do that?

The ironic part is he is a mentor and trying to teach kids to treat others well, yet does that. People are funny and just plain weird. I don't care so much about being rejected, but I just don't understand why people can't be honest and say "hey man, I lost interest" after they were the ones pushing to meet.

Oh well. I guess it's just a normal day on Grindr.
