will have to break lease before it starts (ga)

important facts:

-current lease is up 6/15 -I signed a renewal after a potential roommate submitted an application -after stating over text (to me) and verbally (to the leasing office) that she was going to sign the lease she has backed out -I won’t have enough time to find a new roommate before the lease is up in approx. two weeks. with such little time left I am considering an attempt to break the renewal lease before it starts.

Does anyone know how I could go about that? Is that a thing that’s possible even??
